The Directors of RCV are a team of progressive and commercially experienced managers whose strategic skills have led to RCV's growth and current success.

Sid Gould - Non-Executive Chairman

Sid joined the Board in 2000 as one of the original investors.   Sid Gould jointly led the management buy-out of Tibbett & Britten Group plc in 1994 subsequently becoming it’s Vice Chairman.  Prior to this he held various senior financial positions with Unilever plc. Over the last ten years he has been non-executive Chairman of a number of companies, including Tuffnells Parcels Express Ltd.

Eric Hill - Chief Executive

Chief Executive and co-founder of RCV in 1997. He is an experienced design and manufacturing engineer who formed his own engineering company in 1967.  This specialises in the design, development and manufacture of precision product for aerospace and the scientific industry. Whilst retaining ownership of that company he currently sits on its board as Chairman and Financial Director.

Keith Lawes - Director

Co-founder of the company and the inventor of RCV technology.  Keith, a Cambridge science graduate, has extensive experience in the design of electronic engine management and fuel injector systems.  Keith machined and developed the first few RCV prototypes in his garage, and when the idea showed promise teamed up with Eric Hill to put the engine into production.  Keith is responsible for technical innovation and technology development.

Brian Mason - Director

Brian joined the board in 2003 with responsibility for Motorcycle and Forest & Garden Business Sectors. A chartered engineer, with an MBA from Imperial College, he worked at Ricardo for 13 years where he held senior management positions involving motorcycle engineering and business development in Asia Pacific. He has also worked for leading global motorcycle manufacturers on new engine developments and exhaust emissions control & is MD for an engineering consultancy company. 

Lawrence Gould - Director

Lawrence joined the board in 2002 as the financial director.  He was previously Chief Financial Officer of Getty Images and its predecessor (1990-1999). These businesses were involved in the worldwide licensing of photographic rights. More recently Lawrence has undertaken a number of part time director and interim management roles for growth companies.

John Adkins - Non-Executive Director

John joined the Board in 2000 as one of the original investors.  He is an Engineering and Business Graduate with a background as CEO/MD/GM of four businesses, from start-ups to £250m turnover, and has extensive experience of the aerospace and defence equipment industry.  He now works an Independent Executive for major corporations as well as being the MD of BuckHickman Inone, a major distributor of industrial and maintenance products.
