| 'The 58CD will accelerate the P-40 to takeoff speed in about 8', if full power and full up elevator is used, and will climb continuously just off the vertical, about 80 degrees, after takeoff. A scale airspeed can be maintained with about 2/3rds throttle set. The 12" prop gives about 10,000 rpm and looks good on the model, especially when taxiing.' Col hasn't fitted an onboard glow, and the inverted mounting has not caused any problems. |
