| Mr Atmore remarks 'every picture I have seen
of this plane kit always shows a conventional type of engine which because of the sharp
pointed nose of this aircraft the engines hang out of the right sie of the fuselage.
As you can see, this engine is hidden under the cowling'. 'The cooling seems to be adequate for standing still and taxing, but I
haven't had a chance to fly it yet.' The large open areas (about 4") behind the
prop are there to let hot engine heat escape and Ted put a large hole just behind the
propeller on the front under side of the fuselage to allow cool air to enter. These
are essential when enclosing the engine in a cowl. |
